Great story that brings back memories! I was at Kilronen Hostel for 8 days in January 2018, right when a raucous Atlantic storm hit and shut everything down! I was there to find knitters. Barbara, the bartender, knitted with me on my first night. A few night later, I finished a cap knitted in the Aran cable tradition with yarn I purchased on Inis Mor--a Guinness in front of me and that cozy fire you describe in the background.
